When the tide is low, tide pool life is exposed for easy viewing. Three good places for seeing tide pools are: Palmer’s Point in Patrick’s Point State Park, the beach at Trinidad, and in the area of False Klamath Cove. In Trinidad, go right at the lighthouse and drive down the hill to the parking lot. Walk north on the beach to the large rock just offshore. The area between that rock and the beach is full of pools. See this page for directions to False Klamath Cove. Palmer’s Point is at the southern most end of Patrick’s Point State Park.
