River access

After you set up your camp at Chere-ere Bridge, walk down to the Klamath River that borders the campground to the north. One trail leads to the edge of the river and another leads upstream.  Through the stream side forest you can see Dowd Island, in the middle of the Klamath River channel. There are quail and deer along the route and lots of blackberries to eat in late August and early September.

Many other hiking opportunities are within a few miles of our campground.  Check them out.  Ocean walks and Redwood walks.
